Faqs

Will my plates be printed in all capital letters?

Yes! You may get a confirmation email that shows lower case letters on the text description, This is due to the customer using lower case letters when building plates.

But all plates are printed using capital letters in the UK standard number plate font.

Why is there advertising under my plate?

This isn’t an advertisement. However, it’s a legal requirement to have the manufacturer’s name and postcode on license plates, to show that they conform to the standards set but the dvla.

Which styles are road legal in the UK?

We get asked this question A LOT. The DVLA state that all number plate characters should be solid black in colour. This means that

Standard print
4D 3mm and 5mm
3D Gel
4D gel

Metal pressed number plates
Are all legal in the UK

What are the differences between each style of number plate?

Regular – Normal flat print (what we call 2D)

3d Gel – These are a polyurethane resin digit giving a shiny domed effect (our personal favourite)

4D 3mm – These are 3mm acrylic digits that have been laser cut giving a sharp finish, our glue is premium 3M.

4D 5mm – is the same as above but 5mm acrylic instead of 3mm.

4D Gel – 3mm laser cut 4D digits with the 3D gel placed on top (a great idea for those who cant decide between 3D gel or 4D.

Metal Pressed – Digits embossed on single sheet premium aluminium that is then put through another machine to add the black lettering. (these give a great 3D effect and ideal for anyone that wants an upgrade from 2D but doesn’t like 3D/4D)

Do You Have Next Day Delivery?

Yes! There are 3 options of postage available at the checkout. Next day delivery ( if ordered before 12:30 mon-fri ) is £10.99
